Venue Owners refers to customers who subscribe to UBOUX WiFi captive portal service.

This policy is issued by UBOUX. This applies to all the websites We operate, Our use of emails and UBOUX WiFi captive portal service we provide to our Venue Owners.

The purpose of this policy is to inform you about the information we collect, how we use and share that information, and the ways in which you can control how we use and share that information. By using our service you agree the terms of this policy and expressly consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with this policy.
We reserve the right to change,add to, delete or otherwise vary the Terms from time to time, at our sole discretion without prior reference to you.

The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE THEM

Log-in information you provide when you use guest Wifi services offered by Venue Owners. You should consult Venue Owners on their Privacy Policy.

Personal information, such as name, email address, date of birth, gender and social media account details (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) , details of your visit, frequency of visit, duration of visit,browser type, device type, that you provide by registering and using the guest Wifi services.

The information collected help the Venue Owners to learn about their customers. E.g how many people visit on a regular basis, duration of each visit.

We want to inform you that whenever you visit our Service, we collect information that your browser sends to us that is called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser version, pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

This information is useful for us as it helps us get a better understanding of how you’re using our websites and services so that we can continue to provide the best experience possible (e.g., by personalising the content you see). Some of this information is collected using cookies and similar tracking technologies.

Filling in forms on Our web site and when you contact Us via telephone and includes information provided when you:

  • (i) subscribe to our newsletter.
  • (ii) enquire about our product or services
  • (iIi) request information via telephone;
  • (iv) request a call back;
  • (v) respond to a campaign;
  • (vi) enter a competition or promotion;
  • (vii) submit a question to Us or provide Us with feedback.

We do not sell or give your email address to other companies for their own marketing purposes without your permission.

Some of the information may comprise personal data, i.e data which may lead to your identification (“Personal Data”). Personal Data shall only be collected and used by us for the purpose of registering you as a User of the Service and for other purposes which are permitted under the laws of Singapore. Additionally with your consent, the Personal Data will be collected by us on behalf of the Venue Owner for the marketing and promotional activities of the Venue Owner. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WE RECEIVE AND HOW WE SHARE

Venue Owner where you access their Free Wifi services;
Virtual hosting infrastructure providers (i.e. Amazon Web Services) to host our servers and data and to provide other services to Us;

We may also disclose your personal information to third parties, for the following purposes which are permitted under the laws of Singapore:

  • (i) facilitating, processing, dealing with administering, managing and /or maintaining our relationship with our customers
  • (ii) dealing in any matter relating to customer’s products, services and activities;
  • (iii) carrying out due diligence and other screening activities, or to prevent or investigate any fraud or breach of contract or unlawful activity, or complying with or as required by any applicable law, governmental or regulatory requirements of any relevant jurisdiction;
  • (iv) conducting research, analysis and development activities (including but not limited to data analytics, surveys and/or profiling) to enhance customer’s products, services and/or operations and/or otherwise for customer’s business operations and purposes;
  • (v)
    storing, hosting, backing up (whether for disaster recovery or otherwise) of my personal data ,whether within or outside Singapore.

SECURITY

Security is a priority for us when it comes to your personal data. We’re committed to protecting your personal data and have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to make sure that happens.

We take appropriate security measures to protect against accidental loss, unauthorised use or access to or unauthorised alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorised access to systems where we store personal data.

Our clients whom use our platform may have different security practices and arrangements, which are not covered by this Policy. If you wish to know about the security practices and arrangements of any of our clients, you should consult our client’s privacy policy and terms.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data will only be retained for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected as outlined in this privacy statement and for the purpose of satisfying our business (accounting and reporting) or legal requirements, but also to properly resolve disputes or to troubleshoot problems.

Under the data protection legislation, You have the right to request copies of your data, request rectification of your data, request erasure of your data, object to Us processing your data, the right to prevent your data being used for direct marketing, request Us to restrict the processing of your data and where Our systems allow, the right to access a copy of the information We hold about you (a subject access request) and the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. We will require proof of your identity before we are able to provide you with any personal information that we hold about you.

Right to make a Subject Access Request

You may have the right to object to Us processing your personal data and request that We stop processing it. You may do this by emailing Our Data Protection Officer (see below for details).

Right to Request Erasure

You have the right to have your personal data erased where the data is no longer necessary for the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected/processed unless we have legitimate grounds or a legal right(s)/obligation(s) to store your personal data.
